Artists who still draw their backgrounds from scratch in this day and age are stronger than I could ever be. The moment I discovered I could use 3D models, I never looked back.
Currently in storyboarding hell, and let me tell you, as much as I'm suffering right now, I'm also really enjoying getting to see a new story that I'll eventually draw. Like, yay I can't wait to draw all these stupid situations and funny faces!
Some panels from the first few pages. ✒️ Don't be too impressed, though - the backgrounds were done with the help of SketchUp. 😅 I'm always having so much fun filling the backgrounds with all kinds of different characters and details (can you spot the cat?), even if it's quite time-consuming.

After relying on 3D models to draw for the past few years, I was really worried I had ‘forgotten’ how to draw. But it turns out drawing is like riding a bike - you can’t really forget it?? (It doesn’t feel like I’ve improved either, though lol)
