Trump and Vance are so gaslighting Ukraine. What a shit show. Trump is aligning the US with Russia as we knew he would do. Trump is not a friend of Europe or even Americans. This is going to go so badly in the future.

Learning today of Matt Mullenweg's irrational decision born of deep personal insecurity to bar Joost from speaking at WC Asia. The drama Matt has wrought on the WordPress community the past five months has been so unnecessary and unproductive. A true failure of leadership.

The scope of the birthright citizenship executive order is broader than some rumors had it. The denial of birthright citizenship would apply not just to U.S. born children of *undocumented immigrants* but to anyone who did not have a parent who was at least a permanent resident.

Another SEO magical thinking moment: New one-page site was just published a few days ago. Client thinks it should rank on the first page of SERP for a variety of keywords right now. Sends me article about how perhaps it is being blocked with Robots.txt. 🤦‍♀️

Gotta love when a client asks out of the blue: "Are links still important?" I figured out finally he was talking about backlinks and how people used to try to game Google rankings by getting friends and family to link to their site. Magical SEO thinking abounds!

Thanks a lot for your very clever inputs 👍. I remember the WP Governance initiative you started with Rachel Cherry ~4 years ago. I was really disappointed it was put aside by Matt’s WP as I know how important it is to be transparent about conflict of interests and to share a clear code of ethics.

I am not working with @joost.blog or Karim, and I have no idea what their plans are beyond their public posts. I also have no reason to believe they are working on a fork because that doesn't track with their previous work or statements.
