Yesterday I joined events across #AD12. Starting with the Alzheimer’s Association’s Sonoma-Marin Walk, then visiting Santa Rosa PD’s gun buyback, where 583 firearms were safely surrendered! and finally celebrating the Golden Gate Village Revitalization Project. Grateful to all our local partners!

Great to attend the Sonoma State University kickoff to the Nichols Hall Renovation! This project will help expand nursing programs by providing new clinical settings and larger study areas. This project was funded through the Sonoma State Commitment, which I helped champion this past year!

It was a great experience touring beaver coexistence sites with Secretary Crowfoot other partners. AB 2196, made the state’s Beaver Coexistence Program permanent, and secured grant funding. We are now seeing projects implemented throughout the state that allow beavers and people to live in harmony.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11. We honor our first responders for their bravery and to those who gave their lives courageously in the line of duty. The effects of this day are still felt throughout our country. Let’s continue to strive for peace, justice and compassion for all.

I had a great time at the 5th Annual African Soul Festival in #Rohnertpark visiting our local organizations and businesses! This event was a celebration of the rich culture, food and music of Africa. Thank you to everyone who participated in this amazing community event!
Yesterday, I managed passing SB 954 off the Assembly floor with 50 votes. Authored by Senator Blakespear, this bill creates environmental and public health guardrails for advanced manufacturing projects and ensures they have to go through thoughtful environmental review.
