Asus P3V4X saved. ICS chip had a heat sink stuck to it. Something hit the heat sink ripping most the pins from the board, damaging one pin. Repaired and booting. #retrocomputer #retrorepairs
Repaired a Gainward GeForce 3 Ti200. Was missing LC and cap filters for the VGA RGB colour channels.
Trace repairs on a FIX 486-VIP-IO2 motherboard.
The time for repairs, only need 6 bodge, both ram slots and keyboard connector.
Some future fun... Was a screw pulled though the board, Or voltage and ground planes shorted at the stand off?
The next victim, every single Sanyo cap leaked. Several simm slots damaged. And chipset memory controller with damaged pins. At lease the Dallas chip is socketed. The ECS P6FX1-B
