As we reach the end of the 2026 legislative year, I am proud to announce that seven of my bills are headed to the Governor. Thank you to my constituents and community voices who led these important conversations to lift up and protect all Californians.

My #ab2186 No Taxation on Reparations has been approved by the State Senate and the State Assembly. This bill will help keep taxes low for millions of hard working Californians. The bill now heads to Governor Newsom for final action.

Good news to start the weekend. The @lacountydelegation.bsky.social today cut the ribbon on new ADUs in Altadena to support the rebuilding of this diverse, dynamic community. It’s been a long year and a half, but our hearts remain full of hope for the future.

This week is a major deadline in the Legislature & I am proud to announce that nine of my bills have been approved by the State Assembly & now head to the Senate. Thank you to our community partners for your support & our work to make California a safer, more affordable place to live.

Excited to share that my #AB2186 which will guarantee that any future reparations paid to the descendants of formerly enslaved people will not be taxed by the state. This measure received bipartisan support on the Assembly Floor & now heads to the Senate.
