I know this is a statistically problematic statement, but if it helps anyone out there, most of my career successes have happened only because of a previous career failure. My current boss has rejected me from three (three!) roles that I later grew into. Just to say: stick with it, you got this!

Here's a #genAI developer tool I desperately need: version control for context. If I'm collaborating with a group, how do we share and update context centrally (e.g. so vibe coders can all vibe together)? I make a meaningful update to the context, I can push that out to others. A tool must exist?

Completely unbidden, Claude keeps talking about "tidy tables" and "tidy formats" and I have to wonder if this is the tidyverse philosophy encoded in foundational knowledge? I haven't discussed tidy data with this system before so it's not just contextual memory. But I kind of love it.

Since I never code anymore (lolsob) I have only just tried Quarto in earnest and it is SO GOOD. I remember trying it out when it first emerged and I ran into some environment issues. But this time it's been so smooth and simple even using Windows on the dodgy corporate computer. #quarto
My pet theory is that companies would see a much higher ROI from training their workforce in design principles than training in AI. If you can't think about what you're trying to build, you're definitely not going to have any luck getting an AI to build it.
