Dogs. Disney. PWHL. 🇨🇦🇨🇦

I realise this is a very niche "first world" problem, but my current boycott of US travel, on top of keeping me from my friends, is making my sudden irrational desire for a Disney Christmas trip unattainable, which is making me cranky.

I haven’t been in the office in a couple of years, but I’ve been working with some of my coworkers for 20. Several people CROSSED THE ROOM to hug and talk to me. It’s a weird feeling to know that people care about me.

I bought myself new sheets, because I’ve had the old ones since before my Dad passed away. They’re jersey cotton, because that’s what I prefer, they’re also kind of ugly, because it’s hard to find inexpensive jersey sheets. I think I love them anyway (they’re more red than orange, I swear)

I have been home 24 hours, I don’t return to work until Wednesday, but I am already having anxiety and, oddly, the hot flashes that were absent my entire trip. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I am safely home, where the current temperature is 20. The temperature when I left St John’s was a wonderful 14. The temperature in my HOUSE is 22.5, which is perfectly acceptable, I guess, except I had the hotel set to 18.5. The transition is going to suck. LOL.

All the best places have fried bread. It is, sadly, cold, because I got it to go at dinner, but I have no doubt it’ll still be delicious. It’s “touton”.

I’ve been to this restaurant four times this week. To be honest, I’ve tried to go elsewhere, but I haven’t enjoyed the food or atmosphere as much. The selection here is great.

Also, THIS I feel bad about. But in my defence I was expecting a tiny amount of chocolate in the middle like you get at a standard bakery, not icing leaking out when I took a bite.

A souvenir obviously isn’t REQUIRED - I took a lot of pictures and I’ve been “junk journaling” and, you know, memories, but I want to bring something home. But I can’t find anything. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This is, perhaps, the worst guided tour I’ve ever had. I have “reminded” him of things he should be talking about at least twice. (Not on purpose, just by stopping in front of something and expressing interest)
