Happy birthday, Brill! The company was founded 343 years ago , on 17 May 1683, making it the oldest publishing house in the Netherlands. This picture of the old office on Oude Rijn 33, that was occupied by Brill from 1883 until 1985, was captured by Leonieke Aalders, during a canal boat trip.
