In June of last year, Austin City Council removed the agenda item to extend the use of Automated License Plate Readers after extensive pushback from activists, including Austin DSA’s No ALPRs campaign. Unfortunately, the use of ALPRs is now at risk of making its way back to the City Council agenda.
