My editor's feedback is due in any time now, and I'm frankly terrified. I know The Duchess and the Dwindling Stars needs some significant restructuring, but starting that process is daunting. TBH, my other two have been more or less fine at this point, so I've never had to re-plot before.

On a different note, it feels very strange to be going to Washington, DC, where I grew up, as a business trip. It's a great opportunity for sure, but it's like I know where everything is and some of the excitement of "going away on business" is lost.

I've been suffering from complete apathy regarding writing, marketing, and anything to do with books. Book 3 has pretty much stalled and I kinda don't care right now. I'm sure I'll come around, but it's meh all around for the moment.

No, I was not a fan of the fireworks last night, but it got me thinking. With costs of living at an all-time high, hundreds of people spent hundreds to thousands of dollars on these displays. Considering we're just getting by, I can't fathom it.

Follow-up. There don't seem to be any dictation products that don't use AI in some form or another. However, I did some digging, and there are free, open-source tools where the models run locally and your voice data never leaves your system. I'll report back on this.
