Shrapnel acquired!

Got myself another G1 Shrapnel and now I'm going to be obsessively refreshing the tracking to make sure I actually get this one. Still haven't figured out who stole the first one, but I have suspicions.

I sincerely hope whichever clown stole the G1 Shrapnel I ordered off my steps was severely disappointed. I'm not even really mad, just amused that of all the shit I've ordered over the years, a 40 year old robot bug that cost me eight bucks is what finally got stolen.

I love modern technology. One (almost) perfect replacement door. (My clumsy ass snapped a bit off the clip as i was pulling it off the supports so now I need to print it again, but this one works to show how well it fits.) Windshield is printing now, so he'll just need some paint to be good as new.

So I didn't end up with most of what was on my list but I am very pleased with what I DID find: Rumble/Frenzy and Eject/Rewind, Powerglide, Whirl, Bluestreak, Bombshell, Battle Armor Skeletor & He-man, Rattlor, Panthor, Battlecat, and the Action Edition Blokees kits. Not a bad haul, I think.

*Columbo voice* Just one more thing...

At the toys expo and, uh. I bought a few things. The Panthor and Battlecat are modern ones but I thight they were cool and they were right there in the booth with He-Man and Skeletor so I grabbed them all together.

I'm going to a toy expo tomorrow, so I'm making a list of stuff I want to look for, and it's almost all either Transformers or stuff I owned between about 7 and 12 that I really want to have again. We shall see how well I manage to stick to the list and not just go OOH SHINY at other random things.

So, how old were you when you realised Soundwave has a pause button and a play button molded into his head crest? More obvious on the tape player where it is painted, but the same detailing is on G1, MP et al

I needed more stitch markers, so I printed more stitch markers...possibly too many stitch markers. (I'll be honest, this was at least 50% an excuse to finally open all of my filament and use the entire array of colours for *something*.)

Finally got some spare time and brain space for finishing one of my franken-Blokees, so here's a very silly little guy made from spare parts (including a leftover Legacy Animated Prowl head). I have zero explanation for whatever this is besides the fact that I like the Constructicon colour scheme.

All the official lads together, plus Nightwatch, who fits in surprisingly well. Still feels a little wild to see Dead End right here with the rest of them tbh. (Yes, I know the holsters for the nunchaku are supposed to flip up, but I'm lazy and I didn't feel like taking them out to do it properly.)

He's here! ...I feel a sudden need to go hide all of my Poe and anything resembling emo music, just in case. Pretty sure I'm already hearing him mutter something about "the inevitable march towards death", so I'm not sure how much good it will do.

Got home and opened them up. They're kind of terrible but I like the chopper more than I probably ought to.

The call of the cheap knockoffs at Five Below successfully lured me in, I fear.

Went to a neighbourhood festival today and ended up picking up a few things. Not pictured: the funnel cake the size of my head and gigantic teriyaki chicken skewer I had for lunch.

I was looking for something else TFA-related on Cults3D today and instead discovered that someone had recently made a replacement missile for the leader Bulkhead figure! I printed a set and gave them a bit of paint, and my dude is looking pretty good with his missile racks full again.

So, uh. I might have just accidentally stumbled upon an Animated Dead End on ebay and bought him before I could talk myself out of spending 150 bucks on him. Just casually finding one of my personal grails at 9PM on a Wednesday, no biggie.

Pretty crap photo, but I picked up a Rodimus Minor on ebay for 30 bucks (super cheap compared to the others listed rn) because the back piece with the spoiler is broken at the hinge. Plan was to try to fix it but the piece tabs into his back well enough that I don't know if I even need to bother.

I'm not going to say that he's particularly well painted, but he's done-ish. This idea has lived in my head rent-free for years since I saw a twitter post about it, and I finally sat down and made one of my own. Presenting: Rodimouse Prime, who exists purely because it's goddamned hilarious.

The orange paint is as annoying as ever to work with and I might have to strip it and use a different orange, but have a WIP photo of this ridiculous thing

Couple of new bots arrived today! Well...technically one new bot and one old one, but y'all know what I mean. (I have Plans™ for a custom using the Rattrap, I just might need to order some more paint in the colours I want to use before I can start working on it.)

Haha. Got called an "ignorant asshole" today by a Trump supporter on the Transformers sub for answering the question of "but why can't we just come together without real-world politics", and I'm still laughing. Def a guy who thinks "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings" is just a catchphrase.

Oh lol. Guess who just realized she forgot Animated Soundwave in the photo of the 'Con shelf? I sat him down after cleaning the filth he arrived with off and then just...totally forgot I did it until about ten minutes ago when I saw him on the towel where I left him. Guess I need another photo later

Sidenote: Animated Starscream might be the MOST Starscreamy of my collection, because he's been nothing but trouble since I got him. I've nearly lost the fingers on his right hand 3 times now, so I finally just gave in and lightly glued them in place with a dab on the pegs that hold them in the arm.

The final result of my perhaps ill-advised spending. I already had Ratchet, Blurr, Swindle, Shockwave, Lugnut, the Jazzes and Prowls, Lockdown, and the custom guy, but everybody else is new. I'm calling my TFA collection good for now, though there are a couple more bots I might pick up (much) later.
