#Hobbystreak day 201. The weather this morning was really nice so I was able to get out and get some priming done. All the parts of the sky lantern are ready for paint and I even got a start on the painting.

#Hobbystreak day 200. A big building day today. I did sub assemblies for the Cathay Sky Lantern because I feel like you would need to be psychotic to try and paint this thing in one massive go.

#Hobbystreak day 199. A surprise deployment for the Cavaliers today. Our employer's compound was raided as the drop ship was being packed. What units weren't already packed for storage had to move out to intercept. It was a running skirmish but eventually the raiders were forced to flee.

#Hobbystreak day 198. Support elements are done! I was thinking about starting on building the balloon for my Cathay army but I decided to take a break for the rest of the day and play FF7 remake.

#Hobbystreak day 197. Tonks. I was able to prime and then do all the base layers over the course of today. I think I am safely on track to have these completed tomorrow in time to be gifted on Sunday.

#Hobbystreak day 196. That's a second company of mechs done and now it's just the vehicles and infantry left. Me being me though I had to check up the elementals some before they get primed.

#Hobbystreak day 195. Lots of progress today! My soft goal is to have these completely finished by Sunday morning so they can be given away. Right now I feel like that is an attainable goal.

#Hobbystreak day 194. Onto the next wave of mech painting. Everyone in our gaming club donated these mechs for me to paint for a member that's moving out of state. I've also got some tanks and battle armor that will need to be done after these

#Hobbystreak day 193. Back to painting battlemechs. I finished the basing here so this group is ready to go. I have another company that needs to be painted though. I'm hoping the weather will be nice tomorrow to get them primed.

#Hobbystreak day 192. For a change of pace today we played a huge Alpha Strike game. We played an end of Jihad era battle between the Fedsuns and Wobbies over a Castle Brian on Terra. It made for one heck of a battle and it was nice to get my Highlanders on the table.

#Hobbystreak day 191. I went to see the Odyssey today which ended up eating most of my free time this Saturday. I did manage to finish painting the mechs but I was only able to get a start on the basing before I ran out of hobby time.

#Hobbystreak day 190. Back to Battletech painting today. I got all the base coats done so these will just need a wash and then basing.

#Hobbystreak day 189. I had just about the bloodiest game of Warhammer I ever played tonight. My Chracian hunting party stumbled upon a host of khorne and fought to mutual destruction. Which probably counts as a victory for Khorne?

#Hobbystreak day 188. Finally a break in this swamp weather! I was able to get out and prime the mecha I have had waiting and got a bit of a start on painting them after finishing the 2 I already had on stands.

#Hobbystreak day 187. Just a small painting update today. I had to work late tonight so not much hobby time and it's been super humid so I haven't been able to spray anything either.

#Hobbystreak day 186. I am going to be on a Battletech side quest for a bit. One of the long time members of our club is moving out of state so everyone has donated models for me to paint in the Cavaliers livery as a going away present before he leaves.

#hobbystreak day 185. The Cavaliers took the field again today. The mercs we have been fighting on this planet made one last push in an attempt to attack our drop ship. The Cavs laid an ambush and forced them into surrender

#Hobbystreak day 184. I finished off the sentinel this morning by finalizing the basing. Since it's too humid to get any priming done, I started working on building some more jade warriors for reinforcements.

#Hobbystreak day 183. This ended up being a 1 day paint and I wasn't expecting it to be. Behold the Obsidian sentinel.

#Hobbystreak day 182. Old World Thursday returns. A high elf sea patrol spotted a dark elf raid under way. Despite mobilizing in force they were no match for the hatred of the dark elves.

#Hobbystreak day 181. And that is one army commander ready for the table. I am very pleased with the end result. Tomorrow is game day so I think the Dark Elves will be returning to the field.

#Hobbystreak day 180. Our Longma now has a rider! The Shugengan was a fun little one day paint and I am pretty happy with the results. Tomorrow I should be able to knock out the basing and he will be ready to lead my Cathay army to victory.

#Hobbystreak day 179. I finished the Longma and I am really happy with the final result. Time permitting tomorrow I should be able to paint the rider and do the basing

#Hobbystreak day 178. I have let myself be intimidated by this model for far too long so today I started work on the Spirit Longma mount of my Cathay general

#Hobbystreak day 177. I got out and primed the sentinel this morning but more importantly i had a friend over to the house to play his first game with wood elves and my 3rd ever game with Cathay. Very close game, there was only a 20 VP difference so we called it a tie.

#Hobbystreak day 176. Oh thank God it's done. Things were going okay until I got to building the staff and hands and then it fell off the rails. At least it's over now and I'm only ever going to have 1 of them.

#Hobbystreqk day 175. The YouTubers weren't exaggerating when they said this kit was awful to build. Kit building is probably one of my favorite parts of the hobby but I had to take a break because this thing is fiddle faddle as fuck.

#Hobbystreak day 174. The astromancer is done! I think up next it's time for me to be brave and work on a Cathay centerpiece model.

#Hobbystreak day 173. Some more painting progress today. I probably could have powered through and finished the whole mini today but I decided to take my time and just enjoy the process.
