Ya ever find yourself trying to describe what is obviously burn out in some distinct way because the only thing you could really do about it if it was burn out is step back and do less and you're already doing less than you have in years? Any way *Liz lemon* What a week, huh.

Thinking about people trying to insult that Talarico guy for ordering potato and egg as I rifle through otherwise half full catering boxes of Taco Cabana for the lone p&e left.

So over a month ago my partner was walking to work when they found a stray kitten, they some how managed to grab her and took her to an emergency vet. The receptionist said "you should surrender her, let the city pay for everything, then adopt her" and so they surrendered her.

Chicken is a long enough word that you can spot where it's going before the end, which allows the audience to adjust their expectations and defuse the tension of the situation intellectually. If you can force a snap-break then they defuse it on instinct by laughing.

Put another why, suppose you write a character who throws [x] at people. Why is a duck funnier than a chicken? There's this weird other thing in comedy that's hard to describe, and it is often what separates great comedians from others.
