This classic logo for Mosfilm, Russia's largest film studio, is the oldest on-screen logo still used, being first used in 1947. Although it was initially discontinued in 2003, the studio revived it in 2012 for use on historical films set during the Soviet period.

North Korea's principal producer of feature films is the Korean Film Studio (조선화인), a state-run studio of about 10 million square feet founded in 1947 and located outside of Pyongyang. It has been said that the studio produced about 40 films a year (almost 4 films a month).
