The more I think about it, the fundamental problem with "The Odyssey" as a Homeric adaptation is that Nolan just doesn't know how to write characters who fuck. Like I challenge you to name a single character from one of his movies who you can look at and say "yea, that dude/dudette fucks."
What makes this even spicier is that Larry's Oracle stock is leveraged to high hell, and the possibility of margin calls is hilariously real.

So much of the vibrancy and charm of the characters has been blasted off and everyone is a stoic Nolan sadboy. Like we can't even get any dick swagger from Circe??? Also, holy hell, Tom Holland was a hilariously bad miscast.
