I was born and raised in Northern Ontario and I am absolutely boiling with rage at the ways in which people elsewhere are talking about the forest fires there as though this is a common occurrence. The air thick with smoke for kilometers, entire communities wiped out - this shit is not normal.

Unpopular opinion: it was a mistake to get Kawhi in 2019 and it’s a mistake to bring him back to the Raptors now. Yes, we got the championship in 2019 but it hurt the team long term. I’m afraid the same would happen now; especially giving up first round picks.

It’s unsettling to see LLMs scaling bias, not solving it. A study of 3.4M outputs found models recommend more aggressive opioids to Black and LGBTQIA+ patients while simultaneously flagging them as high risk. Clinical guardrails are needed to ensure these tools don't worsen disparities.
