As someone who has spent a long time on forums where "one, at sufficient velocity" is one of the longstanding punchlines I have very little patience for events in fiction that even hints towards it as a clever trick.

Well that is just because the traditional vocational tracks have been discredited. A reintroduction of apprenticeships for seventh sons of seventh sons for dealing with boggarts, ghosts and malevolent witches is the proper way forward.

This is something I find most gamers I chat with don't just not know, but violently do not want to know - they pine for $50 games from 1995, but without realizing that's $110 in 2026 dollars. Games got a *lot* cheaper because the prices got sticky, which is why you see a lot of strain.

A friend on Discord has been watching through all of Gundam and while posting screenshots so I have decided to watch a bunch slightly more obscure mecha (and some other sci-fi) shows instead until I forget the contents in those screenshots. Will post the ones I have finished as I go:

Please tell me I am not the only one who thought this. Mold = the thing you don't want in your walls. Mould = The thing you pour things into. I know know it is mould for both in the UK and mold for both in the US but I really hate it because that is a useful distinction.

Despite the name there are works in the isekai genre that aren't actually set in another world just as there are works set in another world that aren't in the isekai genre.

Opinions about isekai that the public is not ready to hear: There are shows in the isekai genre that are technically not isekai and there are shows that are technically isekai that are not in the isekai genre. All genre names are bad and misleading theory staying strong.
