These are cameras on and around Virginia Tech's campus. Notice that they are pointed at walking paths, internal streets, and the ones on the left are pointed directly at student housing units. This is not only an affront to our 4th Amendment rights, the data and images are easily accessible online.

Went to my happy place. Heard a Great Horned Owl. Learned that the tufts above their ears are called plumicorns and now I can die happy*. *Not a current concern.
Some fun surprises this morning and 2 new Lifers! (I also got the Cukoo for the first time on Wednesday on a hike! Who knew??) And I just got shat on by somebody!! So rude! (First time in my life. 😂)

🐻 again!!!! I stood at a safe distance and watched it for about 20 minutes before some other hikers accidentally scared it and it climbed down, huffed at us, and took off down the hill to the right. I’ve lived in 6 states, all claiming to have bears and I’ve never seen one until today!! 🥳🥰

So last night I binged The Five Star Weekend. For the first few episodes, I kept asking myself, "Do I like this?" It turned out I liked it enough to watch the next episode. But by the end, I was SO glad I watched it! It's such a beautiful story of redemption! (It's on Peacock.)
