Alright then, I have uploaded all the work I did for Lesson 1 of Drawabox and now have moved onto the first major challenge proposed by the curriculum: the 250 Box Challenge. So regarding Drawabox I have completed Lessons 0 and 1 so I shall show the work I have done for those. I shall start with showing off the basic line work exercises I have gotten done.

So last month I decided to finally pull the trigger and start doing Drawabox to improve my fundamentals. Been hesitating but if I want to be truly serious about art I need to get a better grasp on my fundamentals and improve those. Started in July but will fill you in on how that's going. #drawabox

Just something of a personal piece to get myself back into the swing of art. I feel like I've failed to be coherent in my art which is why it doesn't drum interest but then it came to me. My mother advised me to draw more dragons since those are my passion and I realized she was completely correct.

Hot *damn*, I had forgotten how much vent art helps the mood...

Sometimes our long term plans and ambitions just don't come to fruition despite our best efforts. Not much to be done besides dusting yourself off and moving on...

So easy to forget how much a simple vent piece can help the mood. I was ready to even pour out into a whole prose schtick screeching about how much I hate everything in the modern world but felt better after just drawing the picture so lost the mojo to keep going.

What I like to call a copyright friendly version of a well known game over screen. Kudos to anyone who knows specifically which one is being referenced.

First art piece done in nearly three weeks, a bit rusty but not too bad I'd say. It's a bit of a vent piece as well, representing that feeling of being trapped with seemingly no way out. Pretty sure we've all been there before...

I’ve been making tiny slap stickers with paint pens to put places. Very sloppy bc each one is only like 1.5 inches but I think that gives them some charm

It took awhile to work up the nerve and inspiration but I have finally made my revenge piece in response to @rhaeloth.bsky.social wonderful Judgment he made for me on my birthday. I really felt like I needed to up my game so I tried for some new perspective I haven't done before. Hope he like it.

This is my first revenge piece in retaliation for a defense Naeriie used against me. This is the first 'humanoid' I've ever really drawn a full picture of and overall not so bad I like to think. Hopefully the character owner thinks the same. #artfight

Character is Niera from Naeriie. Feel like this one was a drastic improvement from the previous piece I did and more in line with what I expect of myself. So the character according to the artist is a gem muncher but not sure they want those particular crystals. They look a bit...spicy so to speak.
