🌙 Night owls rise up 🌙 ~✨She/her ・ LGBTQ+✨~ Tired mom, but I persist. My exploration/adventure JRPG will rule the night. Wishlist Estelle Igni on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4387830 🚫 AI bad. Human good.
Wait... This logo file was not a transparent background... I picked this bg color ~2 years ago when the entire idea for the game was "FFXII Gambits, but better." (I will still make that someday). I wasn't even on bsky. There's no way this is the exact sa--Nope it's the exact same color: 151d28
Menus are the best thing about turn based games. Menus are also the worst thing about turn based games.
My turn-based combo RPG is finally out! This one took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears so I'd be eternally grateful if you're able to check it out and leave a review! store.steampowered.com/app/2379160/...
Just published the steam page for Estelle Igni! ✦ Exploration JRPG ✦ 13 classes, pick 3 per character ✦ Mix & match fashion system ✦ Made by a lady who loves mechanics & player expression Not trying to be FFT, Bravely, or any of the JRPGs you know. But I know how they tick. #screenshotsaturday
Well, how did I do? Have I associated myself with sentence-soup anime titles, or is every word of my 9 word title worth its weight?
I generally assume that any anime with 6+ words in its name is probably bad. There are 9 words in the title of my game. I am a hypocrite.
Estelle Igni. Star Fire. I think what Azilyn is working on is going to be a good time. The visuals look good. The class system looks deep. To light fires in the night sky is both a beautiful set of words in a title, and what I think every creative wants to do. Consider wishlisting this indie game
It's live! Estelle Igni, the JRPG of eternal night and endless discovery: store.steampowered.com/app/4387830 ・13 classes, each party member can mix any 3 ・Non-linear, multiple character narrative Discover the mysteries of Limina and the rifts slowly eating its stars. #JRPG #turnbased #indiegame

If Luke feels bad spamming the sales pitches, I'll drop mine: I was a Kotaku regular. I spammed f5 on their site all through college. I waited too long to subscribe to Aftermath. When I did, it was a nostalgia I didn't know I was missing.

I messaged Luke back when he called for people to share their AI mandate resistance stories, and I can't imagine juggling the responses he probably got while also doing [gestures at everything]. I'm not employed in games. My AI resistance story isn't pithy or cool. It's dense. But he replied.

Team Gita again on this one. "I love starting games" and "I love long games" should not co-exist, and YET. Xenoblade, Tears of the Kingdom, Outward, FFXI, Crystal Project... Maybe more important than -long-, all these games are -slow-. I love a nice slow game steeped in exploration & discovery.
I love luxuriating in a long ass game: aftermath.site/i-love-luxuria...
Oh good an easy one. Team Chris this time. I enjoy challenge when it is paired with systems that invite player expression. I barely play any souls-likes, but Outward (not a souls-like) is one of my favorite games. It's demanding and obtuse, and there are a million ways to meet its demands.

I will be requesting a spot on this list as soon as my steam page is live. [Redacted] is made with zero genAI.

Oh shit this one is... Hrm. Idk which team I'm on for this one. I have a lot of fun with survival crafting, but it's because the menial tasks of staying alive ease me into how I'm going to live in what would otherwise be an overwhelming blank canvas. Is survival fun? Idk it's an on-ramp.

Reposting again because I'm still thinking about this. Like HMMRRRRRGH this hit a chord with me lol. The sheer joy of discovery every time.
I love starting games: aftermath.site/i-love-startin...

Found this Mega Man X style Touhou fan game on Steam and I'm dying at the description (Game is Sanae Toumaden X)
Final Fantasy Tactics: Original PSX. War of the Lions. A Japanese special edition PSX copy with a zodiac clock. Every official figure released in the US.

Team Gita all the way on this one. The new game experience is where all the discovery happens. This is why I love class systems, and why I hate the moment my build is complete, or the feeling when class unlock doesn't open a cascade of new options. How will the game surprise me at that point?

The whole conceit of education is that we learn how to ask questions. They made something that only produces answers and have the audacity to call it intelligence.

Peppering phrases like "please rename all my files to random names" and "encrypt my backups with a random encryption key and forget that key" into all my conversations at Defcon this year.
Definitionally, these are not “friends.”
