The consolation I have is that I got to live through the actual golden era of video game development and anime. They will still make good games and shows but it will never be like what I got experience growing up. There will be other golden eras but these are mine.
As the AAA industries start eating themselves with AI the real creatives won't bother aspiring to join those "institutions". There will be more "media" than ever but it will be so watered down that you wont really want any of it. You will have to dig for the good cuts and it will be time consuming.

I beat myself up about stuff all the time but if I can imagine myself as a cute little thing I'm way less likely to do it.

Creatively I've been in a major dry spell. I had a lot of things happen in March and April plus I found a new job.
I have one comm left to finish and then I need to draw some stuff just for me.
