I’m coming up on my first full week with the Steam Machine and so far I’ve been thoroughly impressed. The negative discourse surrounding this thing is even more confusing to me now. Negativity gets clicks I suppose.
Sorry chatbot lovers but the waning of Boolean operators in most search functions on websites has made my life actively worse. You can't find anything, you can only have things suggested to you.

This is the real dark side of social media. People tend to engage more with stuff that makes them angry or sad than happy. Building content around this sends you down a dark spiral (see also: all the YouTube rage baiters are always chasing the next thing that will make people even angrier).

You can watch a bootleg of Spider-Man Brand New Day by searching that title in the search bar on twitter. It's been up for a day so far. I am confused how Twitter continues to avoid getting sued into oblivion and that's before we get into the whole "there's also CP and actual murder videos" too.

I'm always impressed by the longevity that FF14 has had especially after its troubled start. But I think it'd be neat if Square Enix included a prologue that was like an hour of original FF14 gameplay. Let people really experience how fuckin bad it was and why they needed to nuke the game world.
