A lot of you have probably seen this already but incase you haven’t, Twitch is forcing a new “Train Gen AI” option on all Twitch users. You can opt out by going to Settings> Security & Privacy> Toggle for Training Generative AI. See screenshots from the mobile app to show how I turned mine off!
SCREEN Act, which would have required mandatory age-verification for sites (like this) that allow "material harmful to minors" failed to pass out of committee after thousands and thousands of people called their Senators. More work ahead!

Your voice matters and you should feel good that you made a difference. Obviously, the fight isn't over, but this was an important victory.

If anyone is getting smacked with this - just use deer.social or another alternate client. Bsky is just an AT Protocol Client, and your Bsky account is an AT Protocol account - you can use your same Bsky account thru another AT Protocol Client, no migration or loss necessary. Could not be easier.
