33 workers at Verbal Beginnings in Rockville have gone been on strike. The workers are registered behavioral technicians who provide important services to children on the autism spectrum. They unionized last year, joining Teamsters Local 639, but have yet to gain a first contract.
Tech Workers at Coforma have formed the Coforma Labor Alliance and have voted 71-14 to join the Communications Workers of America, according to result released June 18th. Coforma is a government contractor that provides digital engineering and design for the IRS and Department of Veteran Affairs.
