PSA FOR PAID GIVEAWAYS There are a lot of legalities with giveaways, please look into the laws of your area as well as the area the platform is based in. (e.g. Twitch is based in California, so you must comply with US law.) These are the most important details worth highlighting: -You CAN offer paid entry, but there must also be a free entry option -You CANNOT give better odds/extra entries for paid entry -Both paid/non-paid entries must have equal odds for winning -Free entry methods must be easy to access, clearly stated, and open until the giveaway ends -Making free entry unclear/difficult to complete falls into a legal grey area and should be avoided If your giveaway has no free entry methods, it's considered a lottery or raffle - which are illegal to host by US law if you're not the government or a non-profit. This applies to any platform based in the us, not just Twitch. Cover your ass legally! I'm not a lawyer- do your own research before hosting giveaways! Not to get political on main, but I hate... no, I absolutely loathe gambling, I abhor it! I despise this predatory industry, what it does to people, how it targets vulnerable people, and how it worms its way into everything. If I ever got into power, I'd criminalise these companies.

I've seen so many folks playing Aniimo lately, likely who aren't aware of the GenAI use in the game. Just a PSA that Aniimo DOES indeed include GenAI in both the promotional material and in game.

Aniimo Pawprint Studios. NO disclosure, claimed they didn't use any and you wouldn't find any in their game. Players found it and have been calling it out since 2025, "sketch art", promotional material and in-game. -y

Oh hey. In the process of them "updating" Discord to allow showing you fucking gambling ads of all things, they also broke the Notification Badges. Because every time i get a singular notif, it thinks i got NINE. Great job, Dicksword, 10's across, wait. 9's across the board.

Apparently the CEO of Hoyo has stated that in the next couple years HoYoverse will “play one of the most pivotal roles in China’s LLM-AI” I straight up don’t know any other game developer making this much of a spectacle out of its AI use. I understand the cultural difference. It’s still alarming.

Anyway here's Mihoyo promoting AI assisted game production including: "Efficiency in Image and Material Generation With very few materials, they can generate character model sheets + 3D models, allowing for the testing of multiple designs and their artistic outcomes." Something to keep an eye on.
