Names are so important to who the characters are and how they are perceived by other characters that I don't use temps. The heroes are going to have a different concept of "Nigel Perkins" vs "Vorthanar the Destroyer", and that's gonna stain the writing.
Q for writers of all stripes -- prose, screenplays, comics, etc. If you use temp names for characters in early drafts, do you find yourself struggling when renaming them with their "real" names? And if so, how do you make peace with the changes?
