Petit fil. Je vois passer des chiffres erronés sur le volume de plagiat dans la thèse de Mr Klein. Quelques précisions. 1/ Dans notre enquête de 2024 sur ASI - qui n'a pas été faite avec un logiciel anti-plagiat type Compilatio - on montrait que 20% des pages contenaient du plagiat.

Next MBS event in a month. I have been organising this event for five years to help build a new field of research: the metaphysics of quantum gravity. It aims to work out the metaphysical foundations and implications of different attempts to unify general relativity and quantum physics.

I think this is empirically true. In part because "critical thinking" has led to "distrust the experts," which is not the right message. It just allows people to trust kooky non-experts and validate their own biases, then pat themselves on the back for their advanced critical faculties.

Maybe the most depressing conclusion I’ve come around to in the past decade (and there are many) is that trying to teach & promote widespread “critical thinking” has been a complete and catastrophic failure. Most of the population is not capable of it, and it is socially disastrous when they try.
