My AP Chem teacher cousin made these whiteboard holders for us a while ago. Super simple to make. Someone asked for the design today so I thought I would share. The "stand" is made of two 2"x4" wood pieces about 20" long. There is a slit about 10* from the vertical that the whiteboard fits into.🎢🧪

A whiteboard is shown nearly vertical supported by two 2"x4"s with angled slots in them. A whiteboard is shown nearly vertical supported by two 2"x4"s with angled slots in them. The angle of the slot is 10 degrees from the vertical so that the whiteboard has a bit of an angle. This slot starts about 4" back from one edge of each 2"x4" wood piece.

I was looking for a new graphic for my error analysis discussion and went down a rabbit hole of "human error analysis" which seems to come from a lot of lab safety and HR fields. Was not expecting to find a group of people that dislike "human error" listed as a cause of error more than teachers. 🧪🎢

A flow chart is shown that describes actual causes for something that might be labeled as "human error". The whole chart can be read here: https://media.licdn.com/dms/image/v2/D5622AQHu5_USt2rAvw/feedshare-shrink_800/B56ZlSsc.jJ8Ag-/0/1758029031600?e=2147483647&v=beta&t=KCvC_dJLexwcATYcYot-lwAsMERiMrV5FX6qiOsjysk

Good example of teacher life. This is the charger for my classroom microphone system. One of two ports no longer charges, the other only charges when just in the right position. Since I frequently find it uncharged in the morning now I use a magnet to hold it in the correct position. 🤞

A black rectangular microphone is in one port of a charging station. The other port has painter's tape over it. A magnetic hook is above the microphone holding it in place.

This summer I bought beads to make "physics" bracelets. I made over a hundred for #AAPTSM26 to give away and yesterday our STEP UP Club made more for members. After school starts my AP classes will get to design their own. Trying to bring some fun and whimsy to Physics. 🎢🧪

Six students, with emoji over their faces, are shown sitting at a lab table in a classroom. On the table are an assortment of beads and bracelet making supplies. Bree is shown in a real top with her right arm in front of her. Her wrist has seven beaded bracelets that say "physics" in block letters with different colors beads.

I do it to myself eaxh year. Physics wraps up the year with color & light. AP learns about sound, color & light after the AP exam in a whirlwind week. Since its also the end of the year tons of kids are trying to do make ups going back a month. So my room has all the equipment out right now. 🧪🎢

A counter in a classroom is covered in a variety of lab equipment.
