Hey fellow creatives.....social media like Here and other post thought places....not really THAT integral compared to...making stuff ya? Im not saying ill drop off here but...feel like if ima shout at the void it should be with table top and jokes.

Instead of a big drawn out video I think I'm gonna try to make regular smaller bite sized (like 10 ish minute) of like...gm journals about the West marches campaigns. Or adventure out side of that just tell y'all some stories.

#ttrpg #cypher first West march session went well. Need to clean up some stuff but this did become a fun mini roleplay and choice driven adventure. I think I'll need to be a little more clear on players needing to succeed in their tasks before 3 hour limit of the session.

Okay partially a joke partially true, if someone was trying to talk shit about Gunslinger Knights I would be way more energized to have a thoughtful conversation cuz that is a setting book that I think is awesome and I would love to defend and dissect equally

At this point I just have to manually take anything related to cypher or MCG off my feed (without actually unfollowing MCG posts) Seeing alot of ideas that could be interesting criticisms towards MCGs product line but they SWIFTLY get hateful and mudslingy.

...first time I've responded to a spicy opinion and someone just blatantly told me "I may be being unfair from my own bias". Like....damn, respect I appreciate that, but you're still saying stuff you know isn't entirely engaged with the topic at hand and still...make some confusing claims.

Our GMs and players at this Gen Con are on another level... one table playing Old Gods of Appalachia (at 11pm, mind you) wrote AND SANG an entire song to make a Level 7 Ritual succeed!

I didn't really know what dark Sun was and now that I've seen the announcements it is very much not for me. I can see the aesthetic appeal but this is always been sort of the look of the factions I would make villains. Don't see much joy and exploring that world.

I need to dig into these books myself , but just from the examples what i know from friends and mutuals...i don't understand its a Post apocalypse 3=4 times over where tech and magic both exist and are ancient. Its a harsh struggling existence/vibe but saying Monte is hateful seems off base.

So, how does this world of bizarre wonders, ripe for exploration, interact with the player? Mostly with xenophobia, cruelty, violence and hatred.

#ttrpg listening to overly sarcastic studios ttrpg rambling video (thanks you three) and something I feel very seen about is one of the reasons I don't think I'll ever want to GM either blades in the dark or pbta. I stopped using D&D because the GM is overworked.
