*sigh*

I was on Threads and then, someone told me that I wouldn't have survived during the 90s spoken word era (they weren't being rude they just didn't know who I was) I bragged on myself; people agreed, and now I'm overwhelmed. It's been three weeks. I can never return. what y'all doing over here?

Usually, I’d be the stanniest Stan who ever stonned about Dot not speaking up about shit. My GOAT lets his art talk. How and ever, nigga, you gotta say SOMETHING! It’s LA. That’s you! It takes zero. Don’t come in here disrespectful. That’s still the greatest to ever do it. Watch yourself.

I can’t understand anyone who loves hip hop (not just Dot) and says that Joey “lost” or isn’t on Ray’s level. It’s just as bad as Drake fans who love Drake but not hip hop. Joey is a killer on the mic. He out rapped and our songed them boys. Come on now. Don’t do that.

Ray was trying to launch his career and get into the mainstream. Nothing wrong with that. Everyone gets something. Joey can’t see Dot but nobody this week saw Joey at the end. Crash Test Dummy wrapped it up.

Eh, he very clearly is trying to catch a wave by baiting Kendrick into a response. But I highly doubt he'll get one (at most he'll probably get a throwaway line like Jay did to 50 Cent when 50 kept trying to battle him).

So Fleece Johnson is out and you raggedy niggas have made him famous? Dont ever talk to me on some “what about men” ish because he should be out of here if you cared.

To be very clear— Remmick is the villain in this story. Don’t let anyone tell you different. I’m not saying Grace is a villain AT ALL! I just don’t like how she did what she did. Remmick (white supremacy masquerading as progressive altruism) is the enemy. Nobody else.

This is strange to say on Mother’s Day but we need to disabuse ourselves of the idea that a mother’s love for their child is a superior love. It is a different love. It is a biological love. It’s an immediate love but it’s also still a love in practice. That’s why toxic, abusive mothers exist.

Respectfully disagree. The people in the juke weren’t orphan only children of only children. Sammie had parents and younger siblings. I understand the sentiment but they used her and she succumbed by letting her emotion take precedence over Annie’s knowledge and the greater good.

I get that people are angry at Grace, but Coogler clearly set her up as a mother protecting her child. Fiercely. She was the only one in the juke joint who had someone she loved in town in danger. The dad vampire would have easily killed the kid. She was ready to die to protect her kid.

Watched Sinners again— I didn’t cry this time and actually walked away fully understanding every character’s arc. Except for Grace. She can still go to hell… literally.

There’s no way Ryan Coogler and Kendrick Lamar weren’t in a text thread during the creation of both their projects. Ain’t no way. Too many songs on gnx fit Sinners and the halftime show feels like Ryan had notes. Can’t tell me a damn thing different.
