Cats, early American history, reading esp science fiction, fantasy, HEA and paranormal romances, old movies. Music. Treasured memories include meeting Octavia Butler and Poul Anderson and coming within a whisker of owning an original Whelan.

Was so fixated on figure skating in the Olympics, I didn’t do my usual sampling of other sports. I missed the Jamaican bobsledding. After all the controversy I did love most of the results in FS - so much kindness and respect among the skaters

Ok the world is seriously weird - in a good kind of way, I’m reading a cozy mystery and my eyes stumble over two words. Picture coyote skidding to a stop. I blink and back up and find that I did, indeed, read the name of an ancestor in this book

Robin of Sherwood is on Prime. 1984 version with Michael Praed. I Love this show with all its mysticism and all the young actors. I met the cast (well most of it) at a con in Seattle and then Mark Ryan (Nasir) again when he began to work with a local comic book writer.

Missed the first group of skaters. Wow this second group is skating so well! This is what they‘ll remember a great free skate and a wonderful audience. This is why I watch the Olympics.

Ooh Amber, you tried too hard. You are still our forever Amber. The ladies have all my admiration for their toughness and grace.

Men’s was good. Nice to see Frenchmen funneling their emotions fuel their skates. Japanese really challenging Ilia. Hopefully will push him to make his other elements as good as his jumps. Audience was great and I am one happy lady with the quality of the skating and adequate judging.

Arrrrggggghhhhh on Rhythm Dance results. To soothe my disappointment, I watched SPHINX, a B-minus movie with Frank Langella (of the yummy voice) and Leslie Ann Down. Awful movie. However it was filmed in Egypt. And I watch all Frank‘s movies. He is pretty too. Worked

Who knew they made so many Bomba pictures! Two left to go. Intermission watching between the Olympics figure skating and the other sports happening tomorro.

Olympics = time shifting. I’m on the west coast. Lots of naps for the next week. Looking forward to the team event. US has a great team; will it be enough to share the podium with the Japanese? And what does Ilia have up his sleeve?

Can I just say how much I despise the advertising embedded in the ice. I wonder how distracting it is for the skaters. The US will be fielding a strong team at the Olympics. And the NBC/Peacock coverage is terrible. So distracting between constant commercials and continuous commmentary

OD’d on Marx Bros movies, and then Thin Man movies. Now am watching USFS Championships In between I’ve been following the news. I think I prefer my brain numbed trying to follow the third Marx Bros film in a row. 2026 is getting off to a great start!
