He animated the sequence by himself for more than four months -- without computers or even an easy way to check his work. We played the Battle of Heligoland 1864 yesterday using Galleys & Galleons. It worked ok-ish but not perfectly. At least the result was almost historical apart from a prussian ship blowing up 😀. I might try it again with another ruleset. Still, we had fun pushing the ships around. #navalwargaming

At this year's traditional summer gaming event, we had three fantastic tables: Space Gitz, Flashing Steel and Galleys & Galleons. But most important of all, we had a bunch of great people getting together to spend an afternoon gaming! This is always one of the highlights of the year for me.

I have reserved a new Shit Car, a garage in Leicester will give a 2013 Suzuki Alto (white, the worst colour for dirt!) a new clutch and MOT it for 12 months, deliver it to derby and take my old car away for a total price of £810. I need to find another £670 to cover it before Tuesday!

The Odyssey. Big heroic epic, one of THE stories of the cultural canon. Perfectly well done though. At some point I thought "oh, they're doing that like this? Well, that's an interestig choice...", only to realize after a few minutes as the thing plays out that it works.

Had a game of Tilly's Very Bad Day with @battlebrushstudios.bsky.social yesterday, using his lovely collection of figures. It was a bad day for the Catholics indeed. I had a plan, I stuck to it, I rolled well and everything came together for once. A resounding Swedish victory! #wargaming

Right, that's the Jägers finished. Perry miniatures, plus three kneeling Foundry Jägers. Standing-up versions are too smoll, kneeling ones fit rather perfectly actually. Pure magic (and lost on digital sculpts). Hope you like them! Next up: Loads and loads of Germans. #nerdlings #warmongers
Back from Spielefest/E-Sports-Festival. It was a hoot. So much so that I didn't get to take a single picture. I was mostly busy talking to people, getting them paintpots, work out recipies for dragon skin on the fly and how to make that skeleton warrior look like that thing in Minecraft. It was good
