During the sub-prime mortgage crisis, tech companies stopped hiring juniors and then paid for it through the nose after 2012. It's happening again. The companies that buck this trend and think of junior hiring as infra spend might just survive the slopocalypse.

AI has certainly moved the overtone window on what "deterministic" means. Apparently, bash scripts are now deterministic. Somewhere, someplace, Simon Peyton Jones is experiencing a gag reflex. 😂
