The Price of Freedom The world horses of Dülmen, which roam the Merfelder Bruch nature reserve in Westphalia, Germany, are one of Europe‘s last surviving truly free roaming herd of primitive horses. But every May, the colts are separated from the herd to prevent inbreeding. They don‘t know that.
