So many people dismiss the Cs chances this year. Teams that “win” the offseason don’t always win more. We’re going to be right there in the mix at the top of the conference as usual. A healthy JT and the play of our bigs will be the most important factors to continued success.

So just to add even more drama, Jaylen Brown is extension eligible on Monday. Either Philly gives him the big money, or they have to explain why they won’t. There’s a reasonable chance he’s going to be the 4th option now. Extension or not, imagine paying max money to your 4th option…

Historically teams assembled with stars like the 76ers don’t work out. Pecking orders matter as do established roles and responsibilities. Someone has to do the dirty work, and star egos often don’t want to be relegated to just that.

Many years ago I had a Cs pennant hanging in my room. I had it until it fell apart. Obviously I bought other pennants & banners over the years, but none had that connection to my soul. Last week I saw a pristine version of it for sale. Today it hangs in my home office and my inner child is happy.

We didn’t make this move to save money. We made it to have financial freedom as early as next summer. The 2 supermax star model is too restrictive to field a competitive team at 5 positions. I suspect Brad will ultimately use the 60ish mil to get a 2-3 players in the future. 1/3

Optionality JB has 3 years + an upcoming 2 year extension of 70 mil. Keeping JB means you don’t have any option than keeping him 5 years. PG has 1-2 years left. No expectations of extension. Plus got 2 picks to use for future picks/deals. Right or wrong, it’s not any more complicated than this.

Sharing this here. It’s really long, but it does a great job breaking down the analytics. Even if you think analytics are rubbish (they’re not), it shows you how JB compares. It provides insights into why the trade market was soft for him. x.com/databallr/st...

Here's my explanation of why Jaylen Brown's offensive analytics are underwhelming: Jaylen Brown is a great scorer. But “great scorer” and “offensive engine” are not the same thing. An offensive eng...

No one needs to be fired, or sell the team, or give up their fandom. Vent and get it out of your system. We all wanted JB to retire a Celtic. Should’ve been emotionally prepared after the last 9 days of JB trade watch, but I get it. Grieve tonight. Tomorrow’s a new day and we move forward. ☘️🏀
