I don't think Israel would deny that it's at war with Iran. The denial here seems to be from many people who ignore that it's Iran that has been on a one-sided crusade to annihilate Israel, developing the means, and deliberately attacking Israel through proxies to then claim to be the victim.

Iran is of course free to characterize the strike by Israel however it choses, but military strikes of this magnitude, particularly including decapitation strikes against political and military leaders, do indeed constitute casus belli under traditional law of armed conflict analysis.

The problem here is not that Trump "threat" (which is not genocidal), but that the term genocide has been so cheapened lately that almost any utterance made by someone they oppose is now deemed to be a threat of genocide by many scholars, politicians, human rights officials, and commentators.

If another world leader had threatened, in the middle of a bombing campaign, that a government "must make a deal, before there is nothing left" -- both scholars and the U.S. government would have labeled it a threat of genocide.

International law, or that interpretation of international law, is deficient and irrelevant if it does not provide a legal way for a country to prevent its own unprovoked annihilation. Israel can't be expected to wait until the threat of nuclear attack from Iran is imminent. That would be too late.

Two lazy/ignorant/deliberate distortions: 1. Iran and Israel are sworn enemies - WRONG. It's one sided. Only Iran wants to eliminate Israel, not the other way around. 2. It's Netanyahu - WRONG. The vast majority of Israelis and Israeli leaders, from Right to Left, support this preemptive attack.

Israel hadn't threatened or attacked Iran. But Iran said Israel must be annihilated. And Iran has secretly developed nuclear weapons. If Israel attacks Iran's nuclear sites, Iran, it's apologists and the Israel haters will then say it needs nuclear weapons for defense. www.jpost.com/middle-east/...

Grossi: Iran's nat'ls say IDF strike on nukes may push nuke building | The Jerusalem Post

Iran has enough uranium to produce 10 nukes; however, Grossi added that more time might be required before Iran is able to develop something with the actual effect of a nuclear weapon.

Romania bars Georgescu from elections for election violations. France bars Le Pen from elections for graft. Argentina bars Kirchner from elections for corruption. US allows Trump in elections despite numerous election violations and election cheating, widespread corruption and clear insurrection.

This is what propaganda looks like. It masquerades as just some apolitical message, a concern for innocent people, for humanity, but it's exactly the Putin talking point against the West. This is pro-Kremlin propaganda and it's coming from the US Director of National Intelligence. Unbelievable!

PSYOP: Russian fascists constantly release CGI videos of nuclear strikes on America, something they'd never dare to actually do. US Director of National Intelligence Gabbard released a video of her own showing a nuclear strike on ... America, Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

Pro-Hamas/anti-Israel PROPAGANDA from the UN and spread by the media. When you completely ignore the actions of combatants on one side of a war, and even imply that there are no combatants on that side, it certainly makes it look like the other side is committing genocide and extermination.

Pro-Hamas/anti-Israel propaganda:

For Republicans, every government action by Democrats is tyranny, and every government action by Republicans is necessary to save the country. All authoritarianism and support for authoritarianism is hypocritical, among other things.
