I was running into issues with diffoscope on my mac (installed with brew). Solution: install newer perl (brew install perl) which brings in a newer version of zipdetails #reproducible-builds

My car mechanic uses an AI phone bot (when the lines are busy). 🛻 It's _almost_ good, it answered with "Hello Brian" I could hear fake typing while it was "thinking". 🤖 My call was a little off script, so it was still a fail, but it was less frustrating than a phone tree. 🤔

Shawn McKinney@bikemonkey.bsky.social · 2y agoA notable colleague once said she specialized in shutting down projects. It was only a half joke. Ending's as important as beginning. It requires honesty. Being able to set aside biases and admit that the project's benefit no longer outweighs its drawbacks. A heavy decision not easily made.
