Old-mandalorian, more like. Just some nerd on the internet. TTRPG's, vidya games, lil plastic dudesmen and whatnot.
You're offered $250,000,000 but to claim it you must enter the last video game you've played and stay there for a full year. How are y'all faring in this deal? Vintage Story - avoid bears and the occasional night terror, stay indoors during 'The Event'. Digging, lots and lots of digging.
I'd be in a steampunk-horror Old West town that was rotting or on fire or both, and overrun by vampires and werewolves to the extent that I'd need a sixgun, rifle, shotgun, flamethrower, crossbow and hydraulic electric-discharge gauntlet to walk down the road to the shops so uh not good I guess

A few other shoe-ins, but imma have to go with The Abyss.
The Abyss: Alien Encounter
Alt: The Abyss: Alien Encounter - Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Kimberly Scott and Ed Harris (he still has hair here. Man, I'm old. Not quite as old as Ed, though) stand in front over a watery tentacle that mimics their faces.

Without saying your age, what's your favourite movie that came out when you were 18? Tbh there's not much from that year I was interested in. I don't think I went to the cinema once that year, looking at the releases.
I have a rock! It has lived under my desk (in 6 different abodes, so far). I picked it up on a beach on the Isle of Wight (Whale Chine) in 03 or 04. Being able to rest my foot on it brings me peace. I really need to get back to the island, soon.
Rock Day? rock check! probably my biggest rock, mayyybe my best? footprint from some early beastie whose paperwork i've entirely bloody misplaced 😬

I have a beard, and I appear to be some sort of goblin (see PFP). Yes, it was dark, and I was wearing sunglasses. I was on a mission from Goth.
Explain your @ My first City of Heroes character (a regen / spines scrapper)
Trying to get my nexy #PaintSlam entry before I lose impetus - can't decide though - should 'Villainous Warlock for Scale' be as is (pic 1) or 'Doing a necromancy' (pic2). Excuse the heinous lighting, it was all done in the worst possible haste! Obvs, very rough and ready. Decisions, decisions.
Ok, I'll try again, after (checks notes) my abject failure in 2023... ...and pretty much since. First model finished! A Renedra Wattle Shed, with unpainted Ral-Partha Europe Villainous Warlock for scale. Guess I gotta paint the Warlock now! #PaintSlam
Plz come join PaintSlam! #WarhammerCommunity
#FestiveTankChallenge Not much progress, the 15mm Shermans have been assembled, and mostly stowage-greebled - the late model on the right needs more, and the PSC (light green, 2nd left) needs some tidying up around the fenders. The Warlord (left) needs most work still... More in the ALT text.
#FestiveTankChallenge Been a grotty week, mostly, so I've been unwinding by starting assembly of not one, but four Shermans! Found a Jumbo (objectively the coolest looking, with the 76mm gun!) in 15mm whilst looking for the still lost turret base for the Warlord kit. More details in the ALT text.
#FestiveTankChallenge Found my long abandoned Warlord 28mm M4 Shermman in the attic, with uh, most of the parts present, so I'll give it a go! Bonus 15mm PSC and Flames of War/Battlefront. Even I should be abler to get one of the lil ones done, if nothing else!
Right folks - D-Day is looming for this year’s #FestiveTankChallenge. Just ordered the few paints I needed to complete mine, so should be good to go. Tag in below if you’re getting participating this year, and do share if you can because there’s still time to get involved! #Wargaming
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features." There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
Nevermind the Whampocalypse, this is the real nightmare before Christmas!
one thing that going into town for the first time in weeks confirmed is that capitalism's breathless headlong rush towards Christmas is well in fucking effect

Hey there. We are all suffering from cognitive dissonance … people in Gaza are being starved, LGBTQIA & women’s rights rolled back, public media lost, disabled people targeted… and we are still being asked to live life as usual, go to work, butter toast. Some helpful thoughts from my work on grief:
1. First #ttrpg you ever played - D&D Red Box (83 rev) 2. First you ever ran - Star Frontiers 3. Played the most - AD&D 1e/2e 4. Run the most - AD&D 1e/2e 5. Favourite - Delta Green 6. Most recently played - D&D 5e 7. Most recently run - Traveller MgT2e (yesterday!)

Nearly every time I see someone talk about what they use AI for it's something I would never, ever use it for even if it didn't hallucinate all the god damn time. I don't need it to fact check or summarise anything since actually reading things and looking into them is like... fun? And rewarding?
The amount of times I found a YouTube channel, start watching a video and thinking "this guy's pretty good" only for them to then immediately post AI slop on screen. You do that, and I'm telling YouTube to never recommend your channel to me ever again.

There was a brief window when a popular internet gag was about forcing a bot to watch a bunch of something & then write it. Like, "I forced a bot to watch 500 hours of CSI & write a script" followed by the funniest shit you ever read. In the Age of AI Slop, the reality of that joke is way less funny
Powerful statement from the BMA calling the supreme court ruling scientifically illiterate and harmful to trans, bon-binary and intersex people.
