We are an indie videogame studio created by friends, who after a lifetime of playing games together decided to make their own. "Weather the Swarm" is our frenetic 2D sci-fi roguelike. Link tree: https://linktr.ee/beatrate.studio

Hello fellow #gamedev, we are approaching the topic of automation testing in our game. It feels super important, but also potentially extremely time/resource-consuming. How do you all approach it? Do you skip it entirely, do you have specific test you always do, or go full-in on it? 🧐

Hello #gamedev people 👾 We have been contacted by "NJOYGamers" and we are thinking if collaborating with them. Do anyone here had experience with them already? Any feedback we'll be warmly welcome! ☀️

We got nominated as potential "Game of the Month" by the ItalianGameDev community on Discord. (Yes most of us are from Italy, did you know? 🍕 ) If you'd like to support our indie studio, head over there and vote for Weather the Swarm! #indiegame #gamedev #pixelart www.reddit.com/r/GameDevelo...

Yes, we're adding elemental damage to enemies. Burn is already in and this is our first new menace! We're planning for it to deal damage over time and to block heals. Do you think that taking away temporarily a heal mechanic could be too punishing, or invites more build variety? #gamedev #indiegame

Choosing the screenshots for the Steam page can be a challenge. How to express your whole game in just 4 pictures? Is it even possible? This is our next bet. What do you all think? Can you understand the genre easily? And did you had the same struggle with your own Steam page? #gamedev #indiegame
