🎗️ 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 - 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟰 When we speak about patients and survivors, the conversation often naturally shifts toward care pathways, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up in adult populations. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆, 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲.

🎗️ 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 - 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟰 Behind every cancer journey, there is more than diagnosis and treatment. In many ways, that is where the journey truly begins.

🎗️ 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 Today's theme highlights 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲. This is closely linked to the work of the 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺, which focuses on advancing precision medicine to improve cancer care and ensure equitable access to innovative approaches across Europe.

How can we better meet the needs of 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 & 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 with cancer? A Symposium took place at @sciensano.be last week under the theme "Empowering collaboration: Toward Integrated Cancer Care for AYA Patients". It brought together stakeholders committed to improving care for these patients.

Children are not “mini-adults”: their needs, voices and experiences are unique and must be recognised. A shift in mindset is needed 🔄 💡 A powerful reminder from a recent event on paediatric palliative care in Belgium, organised by the King Baudouin Foundation, where we represented @sciensano.be.

Pleased to have hosted this joint meeting at @sciensano.be! As a partner in both Joint Actions, we brought these initiatives together to explore concrete synergies, and making sure efforts reinforce each other where it matters most. Many thanks to all participants for the constructive exchanges.
