OK so when someone comments “you’re still a mom but your baby’s dead” on my abortion affirming posts, do you think they understand that their friends who have miscarriages might see that? Do they just not care?

Truly despise the “that never happened to me so it never happened to anyone” crowd! (This is about people being denied miscarriage care because of abortion bans)
Re: Todd Blanche - their goal was always a national ban. This is what we’ve been trying to tell y’all. There are no safe states.
The antis keep saying I’m “intolerant” of them and it’s like um, yes, obviously?? You really got me, Brittany!

This case is a terrifying reminder of the fact that being charged with a crime upends your life. Maria Rojas has had her midwifery license suspended, and the conditions of her bond prohibit her from working in healthcare in any capacity. Texas didn't just arrest her, they took away her livelihood.
“The problem is that there's a human being on the other end of whatever political point it is they're trying to make," said an attorney for Maria Rojas, the Texas midwife who is the first person to be prosecuted under the state's criminal abortion ban.
Any kind of restriction on abortion care puts all pregnant people at risk. Because the medical treatment is the same whether you intended to stay pregnant or not. People who have miscarriages can be and are being denied access to treatment because of abortion bans.
IMO it’s a waste of time to try to determine if a public figure is “really” something - trad can look like a lot of things and the impact is what matters here.
The right question isn’t if Nara is “really” a trad wife or not. It’s does she package the ideology and sell it to others, wrapped in a patriarchal gingham bow. And the answer is yes.

NEW from me at @autonomynews.co: Contrary to what some headlines suggested, Texas midwife Maria Rojas, accused of violating the state’s abortion ban, still can’t reopen her clinics. And the fact that the state has chosen to target a midwife is not a coincidence.
Texas Midwife’s Clinics Won’t Reopen Despite Court Victory
The use of an abortion ban to target a midwife evokes a long, racist history.

Ahem, there’s a long tradition of women who pedal regressive trad aesthetic and ideology to others in order to profit from it! Phyllis Schlafly, anyone?
Republicans may have failed to extend the one-year defund of Planned Parenthood, but the fallout continues: PP of Michigan is closing clinics in Lansing, Livonia and Warren
Planned Parenthood blames aid cuts as it closes 3 more Michigan centers
Planned Parenthood of Michigan is closing three additional facilities in Michigan due to a decline in certain funding and reimbursements.

What is the deal with people who probably do not actually eat banana bread posting about making banana bread all the sudden? Is this the influence of big banana or
Why do so many people feel like there needs to be some kind of limit on empathy and compassion? There’s literally no limit. You can be as empathetic and compassionate as you want.
Man you really don’t notice the difference between a good and bad documentary until you watch a really bad one (yes this is about the Manson grandpa mess)
Ok this whole time I thought that Steel Magnolias and Fried Green Tomatoes were the same movie. They are not!
We need to reclaim “discernment” from the trads for real
It’s worth noting that it’s basically a miracle that The Abortion Companion got published at all in the year 2026. I’m so incredibly proud of that.
Hello! I’m a twice published author - the first a cookbook, the second a support resource for people who have my abortions. My publisher rejected my third book proposal (a cookbook!) because my second book (the one about abortion) didn’t sell.

Also reminder that Roe never actually guaranteed access to care.
If these politicians don’t stop posting about Roe after doing literally nothing for decades I stg
Adoption is not an alternative to abortion. Being pregnant comes with health risks, employment discrimination, and financial challenges.
You know who actually cares about the wellbeing of pregnant people? Those of us out here fighting for abortion rights.
People *really* do not understand how diminished your rights can be during pregnancy. For pregnant people, there’s always judgment, usually surveillance, and sometimes criminalization. Pregnant people are invariably told that their selves, bodies, and lives are secondary.
One time my judgey older cousin tried to tell me that I would regret my abortion after I became a parent. She now has a face full of filler and I am a happy mom who wrote a book to support other people who have abortions 🩷
On the 4th anniversary of Roe falling, I want to remind y’all that the state cannot take away our right to bodily autonomy because it is fundamental. They can fuck things up and make it harder but we’re stronger, smarter, and better. We will always help each other access the care we need.
I’ve been doing repro work for almost a decade and the number one thing I want y’all to understand is that *there are absolutely no good reasons to restrict access to abortion care*.
“I don’t want to be pregnant” is a complete sentence.
