Look I do not necessarily *love* that the Brewers are ripping heaters in the batting cage but I am struggling to wrap my head around (a) what is wrong with Passan writing about it and (b) what is any more morally objectionable about that than celebrating by getting drunk off your ass

Option decisions and 40-man moves are still rolling in for the next few days, but the payroll pages at @fangraphs.com now default to 2027, as does the Payroll Breakdown page. And the Breakdown page now has a season selector so you can go back in time, and a CBT payroll ranking!
Getting closer and closer to finalizing the CBA Explorer tool that will allow you to start with league/PA proposals and tweak to your heart's content! Coming to FanGraphs Lab within the next week or two:
As you can see on the Coaches Grid on FanGraphs, plenty of jobs still to be filled before (during?) the lockout: 3 managers 3 bench coaches 3 hitting coaches 3 asst. hitting coaches 4 pitching coaches 2 asst. pitching coaches 4 1B coaches 3 3B coaches

I graded Stephen Vogt’s managerial performance this postseason, best described as “all over the place”

We have a Coaches grid that can be found under the "Breakdowns" tab on any of the RosterResource pages. It's updated with vacancies for 2027 and you can also view Start or End of the 2025-26 seasons. www.fangraphs.com/roster-resou...
Keep in mind that you can just ask @becker.fangraphs.com a payroll-related question here and he's always responsive and thoughtful. These discussions are especially important because they can help us understand if something needs to be presented differently.
In case you haven't noticed, Jon has added two very cool RosterResource-related features to the FanGraphs player pages. Under the RosterResource tab, you'll see "Contract History" and the newest-added "Position Player Dashboard". Here's info on the new dashboard ...

New thing we're doing at RosterResource @fangraphs.com in today's age of all-hands-on-deck postseason pitching! As starters make their last scheduled starts for a playoff round, we're moving them to the bullpen so you can see how they've been used recently and how available they could be:
Perhaps not the best timing considering how the game is going so far but I've updated the White Sox's RosterResource page to reflect that starting pitching is fake and every pitcher needs to be ready all the time, apparently:
🚨We now have 2027 payrolls on RosterResource!🚨 We won't default to them until after the postseason, but 2027 payrolls are launched on @fangraphs.com with: • Arb projections via MLBTradeRumors • An explainer at the bottom with CBA-less assumptions Let me know if any questions!!!
I've enjoyed popping in and out of these all postseason, and if you're a Member, you should stop on by!

Per a source familiar with the wording of MLB's most recent CBA proposal, the proposal includes the following mechanisms for minimum payroll and salary floor. Words in, formatting of, and emphasis within the screenshot are mine, and used due to character limits:
