Why is the right lane of the 250 bypass the de facto pick up line for Covenant school?

Uhm, this feels like it could be a problem.
“Community Solutions and Clutch remain available to support a direct-to-housing approach if the local conditions required for successful implementation are in place,” said Brian Jones. It’s not immediately clear whether Community Solutions and Clutch or the city pulled out of the partnership first.
I may have a rep for complaining about things that happen at Greenleaf Park but I just caught a woman dumping her child's 💩 in my yard. There are public restrooms available at the park, but she thought my yard was a better spot.
AND we're back! Power finally back on over by Greenleaf Park. I'm going to go hug my AC.
Pretty sure this delightful weather is brought to you by my husband's camping trip. I should send him out like that more often.

Got to judge the county fair preserves this morning. Tasted some amazing pickles and preserves, but I really wish everyone I know that talks about canning would submit to the fair. So many submissions were the only one in their category.
Charlottesville, it's not too late to submit your home grown and home preserved goodies to the Albemarle County Fair! albemarlecountyfair.com/wp-content/u...

Why is the city spraying pesticides at all, but particularly next to children's play areas at a public park near a wooded area home to birds and other animals?
Whisper Hill tomatoes are officially in season to anyone that is interested @johnedwinmason.bsky.social
Throwing a wide net here: Charlottesville, I need some help with my kids sewing camp the week of June 22. Must have some sewing knowledge. Hit me up for more details. And yes, it pays for the 3 hours a day you'll be needed.
Visiting downtown Lancaster, PA and not only is there plenty of public seating, they have porch swings in front of the library!
Fourth time in a week I've been in a crosswalk only to have a car narrowly miss hitting me. I'm so tired of taking my life into my own hands by just trying to do things like walk from my car into the grocery store or walking my dog.
Another day, another adventure in trying to cross the street with my dog in the crosswalk and having a car narrowly avoiding hitting me. This time though, there were multiple witnesses. And when the dumbass came back to threaten me a second time?

Rose Hill Drive checking in this morning. This is a "main" route to a citywide school. Once again, plow trucks drove by with their blades up all afternoon when this was soft and then came back at 10 pm to actually plow once it had hardened again.
Good morning from Rose Hill Drive at Greenleaf Park where crews have been working since last night to clear.
Watching a plow truck spin out on Rose Hill. That’s reassuring.
My then teenage daughter asked me to take her to see Dead & Co, which obviously, you cannot say no to. I paid more money for those tickets than I have ever paid for any concert and it was worth every penny. Good night Bobby and thank you.
Rose Hill Drive hasn't seen a city salt truck since last night. It's covered in snow and soon-to-be-if-not-already ice. I'd say chances of city schools opening tomorrow are slim.
You'd think a city school bus would stop for pedestrians (and their dogs) in a cross walk instead of speeding up and yet you'd be wrong. Thankfully, we did not begin to cross because we never trust drivers, but come on. A school bus SHOULD be stopping for pedestrians because it's the law.
Heads up Cville! They've changed traffic traffic pattern at Rigby Ave/250 has been changed with zero signage. It's a little confusing and I just avoided an accident.
Charlottesville, traffic out there is a whole new level of crazy. Be safe. Stay home.
Cosign this. Lisa leads with her heart. She absolutely has my vote.
Happy Back to School season. Otherwise known, as dodging cars that don't stop for pedestrians while walking my dog near a school season.
