#Books Finished reading '20 Jazz Funk Greats' (Continuum, 2008), the excellent book by @drewdaniel.bsky.social on the excellent LP by @throbbing-gristle.bsky.social. Yes, THAT @drewdaniel.bsky.social (of Matmos & Johns Hopkins University fame). It was hist 1st book and a good one. #Reading
In the House & On the (New) Deck: 'Renascent' by The Durutti Column (@roughtraderecords.bsky.social, 2026). It's magnificent--as is the new deck, btw. TEAC TN-55B w a blue Ortofon cartridge. My first new deck in 37 years, and only my 3rd as an adult. First two: Thorens TD-160 & Ariston Q.

Spent all morning tidying up the house after the painters and listening to 'I Am the Last of All the Field That Fell' by Current 93 (The Spheres, 2014). Tibet's incantatory powers are on full display on that particular release. #Incredible #Music
