I was given this pond liner for Xmas nearly 5 yrs ago- at last I’ve got it in on the allotment! Slugs and snails beware!
I’m inordinately proud of my first homegrown cantaloupe melon - the aroma coming off it is dizzying!
First day since May that there has been sufficient rain here in Exeter to make any appreciable impact on the allotment!
I love homegrown, homemade food. I love cooking with lovely ingredients and finding new recipes. I also love butterscotch angel delight. Don’t judge me, I’m a child of the ‘70s.
It’s taken a while, but I have at last finished the 31m pallet fence that’s stops the weeds from the unoccupied plot next to mine spilling over constantly
I do thing one of the nicest things about my allotment is the 180 view of the horizon above Exeter

I remember at the beginning of my career enjoying submitting a paper. Now the process is yet another ballache that sucks any joy out of being an academic
Some this, plus some aubergines from the greenhouse, turned into the base of a pretty decent ratatouille for tea!
Most of the early summer fruit is over, but can’t complain that I’m not getting colour of the allotment still!
May not seem a lot, but I’m dead chuffed with this. Have had terrible results from sets over the last few years so switched to seeds and am delighted with the results: my first proper onions!
