McHenry Brewing Company, McHenry, IL (my hometown!) Taken during Prohibition, when the brewery was (ostensibly) turned into a gas station that also made root beer. But beer production reportedly never stopped via a basement operation. Building's still there, once again a brewery.

New rule: for every fruited sour on the market, there must be also be one Festbock. Puntigamer (Austria), 1981.

When you ask the bartender to put a head on your beer, and they give it a beard. Birra Metzger, Torino, Italy (1912)

From Germany, Aug 1962: Digestif ad from Underberg «Carefree travels» [ENGinALT]

An advertisement for an after-dinner digestif. It features an elegant blonde woman sitting in front of a window, alongside the product, a glass, and a package. The ad promotes the product as a means to travel carefree and feel good.

Address to Mrs. Fratscher, Ostseebad Graal in Meckl. Haus Daheim I. Treppe!" She said immediately, the gloves come from the wool collection, and pointed the defendant, who was shocked, that it would be more correct and better if he delivered the gloves immediately again, as there could otherwise be bad consequences, because there would be severe penalties for it. The defendant replied that he would also do so. Obviously, according to the impression of the witness Bredefeldt, he regretted the purchase.

The next morning, the defendant continued his usual journey with his bread cart. He had put on the gloves. When he came to the farmer Eggert after Groß-Schwass, his mother asked him how he had come to the beautiful gloves. The defendant told her that he had bought them the day before from a soldier, in the gloves there was a note, from which it emerged that they came from the wool collection. How the witness Eggert learned from his mother, has then said to the defendant, how he could do such a thing.

Even now and on the following days, the defendant did not deliver the gloves. After he was not on the road on Sunday and Monday, d. 11 and 12. 1. 1942, he used the gloves on his trips on Tuesday and Wednesday again. When he drove through Buchbinderstrasse in Rostock on Wednesday, d. 14. 1. 1942, he was called by the gunner Stahl. The defendant told him that there was a note in the gloves, from which it emerged that they were from the wool collection, whether he was not ashamed at all. Stahl replied to him that it was not so bad, he could wear them calmly.

Then came to the cigar dealer Rosian to deliver bread there. He told him what bad luck he had, he had bought a pair of gloves from a soldier on the Chaussee near...

Placing the glass against the pocket really helped this ad resonate with target demos...except in Brooklyn. Michelob, 1970.

A shot that hits the opposite side 1-2 pocket (again, for right handed bowlers) is referred to as the "Brooklyn" side, because historically bowlers in Brooklyn preferred aiming for that.

Tagline says "Bowl 'em over." and "Surprise people...serve Michelob."

Better Know a Beer Cap #110: Bell's Smitten Golden Rye Ale. Beer's still around (I think) but this cap is from mid-2010s. Bell's used to have some of the best cap rizz, no cap. They still put out some good ones but not like they used to.

Sometime in the 1930s, Schepp's beer in Dallas offered a promotion: All you can drink for 60 cents an hour. Unrelated, Schepp's went out of business in 1939.

This is just a skosh more Dantean than I'm used to seeing in beer ads. Bonne Biere de Mars, 1842
