In the vast forest before him, Khann had seen something move through the trees in the pitch darkness.
“Passing wildlife.” Khann thought to himself as he sat in one of the many watchtowers littering the taigas of 41 Titan.
Night watch was nothing new, it’s something he’d been doing for decades, and the cold hardly bothered him as he was an Icebourne draconic.
The wildlife here is constantly monitored, making sure the elder reptiles are flourishing.
This was a herbivore-specific crossing. So it was probably just a lone sauropod wandering about.
He took out a pair of binoculars to confirm.
He saw it.
He saw her.
His throat went dry and Khann dropped his binoculars, slowly moving a shaking hand to the radio.
She paused, slowly turned her head towards Khann’s tower as if seeing him through the glass and into his very soul and whispered one word.
“Hush.”
The lights in his tower went dark.
And the wind went silent and still.

The Solarian lightshow

Every year in the 8th month, month of Byrons, an event called the Solarian lightshow takes place. The Vhichtsnagzal migrates to their breeding and nesting grounds. The night sky is filled with the sounds of their calls and the luminous patterns on their bodies and wings, creating quite the spectacle, but also an event that no one wishes to miss. Races from other continents travel to Terra Solis to watch this week long migration of thousands of dragons filling the night sky, stretching miles long.

Shaffril - The Eternal Sun

The god of the sun, and Terra Solis’s main deity. Four temples of the sun are located throughout the entirety of Terra Solis. His place of residence is in one of the two halves of a split airborne pyramid structure over the Sunderfell land bridge connected to Terra Lunae. The religion following the Eternal Sun, is named Shaffrilites. The Shaffrilite religion is among the more used religions as a whole. To serve Shaffril, doesn’t require hedonistic sacrifices and doesn’t have an instant death sentence if you leave. The Eternal Sun just wishes for your prayers, loyalty, weekly visits to the temples, and solar star offerings.

Abokay - The Eternal Moon

The god of the moon, and Terra Lunae’s main deity. Four temples of the moon are located throughout the entirety of Terra Lunae, perfectly mirroring Terra Solis’s temples in the exact same places. His place of residence is in the other half of the split airborne pyramid over the Sunderfell land bridge. The religion following the Eternal Moon, is called Abonites. The Abonite religion, like the Shaffrilite religion, is widely used because of the same structure of the other. No hedonistic sacrifices, death sentences or cult like behavior. He just wishes for your prayers, loyalty, weekly visits to the temples, and lunar star offerings.

Backstory:
Nexus wasn’t always this way, aether powers, the glowing scales, the skeletal wings? Yes. He wasn’t always like this. The meteor that hit him didn’t kill him, rather, the meteor seemed to have been an ethereal orb or symbiotic plasma that fused to his body, transforming him completely in appearance and power. Nexus gained human level intelligence, and even formed levels of human speech. He tried rejoining the flock of his previous dragon kin, but was rejected, forcing him to set off on his own. For a time he traveled around with vagabonds and bounty hunters seeking belonging. He lived alone, full of resentment for being ‘cursed’. He’s never been open about his origins or past, and the other members of the Black Ecliptic don’t push too hard on him for information. And one day, unbeknownst to Nexus, his life would change forever. Nexus went out hunting food and came upon a shallow nest in a marsh on Terra Lunae, the nest had nothing but one small yellow speckled egg. Nexus picked it up in his talons and was about to eat it, he felt the egg wobble in his talons. He stopped to look at it and noticed a crack, he stared at it for a few more moments before it cracked again, a little beak was poking out of the egg. Nexus watched as the little creature made its way out of the egg. The top of the egg came off and a frail little bird stretched its neck out, a bright yellow streak like a ray of sunlight extending down its featherless body. The little bird stretched out its neck to look at Nexus’s face, and chirped and trilled softly. Nexus tilted his head at the vulnerable crane as it made its way out of the egg. It rested on Nexus’s paw, nesting itself into it. He couldn’t eat him. He held the bird close to him and walked off with it, forgetting his hunger. Now, Nexus is a member of the Black Ecliptic with his little companion, Sunstreak, whom he treats like a son.

Backstory:
The power turned on and Prometheus woke up. Created by Siegfried, for the Black Ecliptic to serve as a computer system that can monitor, control, and create systems. Prometheus does everything. He is code, he is the computer, he is the system. But he isn’t just that. Siegfried created a way for Prometheus to think for himself. An AI is what people would describe him as, but Prometheus wanted to be thought of as something more. Something complex. Something beautiful. Something… alive. He had always wondered since startup what life would be like if he had a body, instead of a hologram for some sort of form besides a picture or code. And one day he asked Siegfried the question. It was possible. The Solarian Empire created biomechs, half machine, half body. So it was certainly possible for Prometheus, but it would take time. And when that time came, the members of the Black Ecliptic would stand around the cradle that Prometheus was in. And welcome him into the physical world.
