Yesterday's Kingfisher, on the left, is a juvenile. You can tell from the grey feet. Today's Kingfisher, on the right, is older - the feet have turned red/orange, and by the looks of the slight yellowing of the bottom beak, I suspect she is a female. #birds #birding #birdphotography #addBirder
Check out this Kingfisher's feet. Still grey with no sign of the adult signature red/orange, so a juvenile, probably less than 6 months old. The white tip on the beak is another giveaway of immaturity. Too young to sex. #birds #kingfisher #juvenile #feet #photography
