We are fostering a dog. She had to go to the shelter for adoption hours today. When she came home again, our dog (the white large one) was very happy to see her again.....

I will never nab a KOM or fastest segment time on strava (especially in the era of ebikes), but I did manage to become the local legend on my hill repeat workout today! (Local legends has the most attempts at a segment in the last 90 days).

I argued the other day that caffeine doesn't impact me except at night when I'm trying to sleep. I tested that today by switching to decaf coffee. Lets just say I was wrong....

I'm sure this will be an unpopular opinion here, but the cybertruck bashing is getting really old. Yes Musk sucks and I'd love for tesla to replace him (they won't). Yes, I'd rather see any other EV than a tesla. But I'd also rather see a cyber truck on the road than any ICE car.

El niño forecasts predict a cooler dryer summer for my part of the world. It's weird to be wearing jeans and a hoodie in June, especially while Europe sets heat records every day.

Imaginary government model: random people are picked for elected offices, sort of like jury duty. After 4 years we vote to keep them for another term or replace them with another random person. Seems like the likelihood that government works for us and addresses problems would increase.

Weather conditions today allowed for a 150 mile trip from RI to Cape cod and back on mostly highway driving to only use 56% of the battery in my 2020 niro EV. That means under similar conditions I could expect to drive almost 300 highway miles in a 6 year old EV with an EPA estimated 239 miles.

Exciting day today: I was able to have class outside for my honors freshman, and then was M.C. for our department awards banquet. Fun day, but I'm ready for a nap!

With the widespread use of AI, we've entered a whole new world of choose your own reality. Whether its sports or politics/societal strife or science, AI imagery is becoming common, and therefore anyone who doesn't like what they see can plausibly dismiss it as AI generated whether its real or not.

Had a conference at school today all about AI. The general message was "its here, students use it, so lets figure out how to use it in a way that doesn't outsource learning". Immediately after I ran into a librarian who basically stated that AI is the worst thing ever and needs to be banned...

The USA taking Greenland "for security" is the worst security for Greenland. As of now, all of the NATO countries are guaranteeing its security. If we break that, it would only be the USA providing security to Greenland. But of course a broken NATO is what Putin wants.....

5 years ago Trump attempted a coup. He went unpunished, and now the coup has continued by sidelining congress and ignoring international law. My fellow Americans, the democrats or the military are not going to stop him. I dont know what the answer to Trumps dictatorship is, but its up to citizens

Former Special Counsel, Jack Smith, explicitly states: "President Trump was by a large measure the most culpable and most responsible person in this conspiracy. These crimes were committed for his benefit. The attack that happened at the Capitol, part of this case, does not happen without him."
