A frequent gripe I get on deck techs is that the list is too expensive, which I totally understand. But literally just take out the landbase and add a bunch of basics. I promise you it will half if not third the cost of the deck.

For a long time I've struggled with my "Forever Commander deck" I make a lot of decks for content, so i can never really keep one together. But this recent uptick in "Sleeveless" and "Bar" decks that have no extra game pieces has given me inspiration for a deck outside my main collection

Update : Turns out the engine is actually just totalled. Oil spilled out and basically carbonized itself to the the whole thing. At this point it really doesn't make sense to replace the engine on a 9 year old car, so we're gunna call it. Thanks for the well wishes and assistance friends. Rip SUV

Update: it's going to be about a 3k fix. A cylinder blew and they're worried about the others. So we've got to replace them. Not sure when it'll be done, but it certainly changes our "we can't afford to bring the partner to magiccon let's have a cheap camping weekend together" deal 😅

When I get hit with bad news and bad beats so many times in a row, you gotta just laugh. Like I'm on a comical string of bad luck. But im still lucky to be able to do all these cool things, and meet all these cool people (like you!) So yeah I have no cards or underpants. But I'm happy.

With Trek coming to MTG, and having just completed watching The Orville (and enjoyed it immensely) there's a chance I'll do what I did for WHO where I let the marketing gremlins get to me and finally watch Trek. I bounced super hard off the pacing of TNG years ago, and that's my only attempt. Tips?

Hey everyone, I was pretty much off my phone for most of the day as we figured things out, and coming back and seeing all the support and generosity... I don't really know what to say. I don't feel comfortable asking for help, and seeing how many of you came to our aid is wild. Thank you. Truly.

Our car is fixable, but not until Monday. We rented an SUV and went to go grab out things, thankfully everything was there. Left the car there, and drove 4 hours back home. Will be making the return there and back again when we get the call. Its been a laughably bad weekend, but were home safe.

So Camping weekend is not going well 😔 Yesterday evening we left out campsite and drove into town for some more firewood when our car broke down. At 9pm, no garage in the small town is open, so we decide to park in a lot after trying 3 different places that aren't open on weekends despite saying so
